We hunt geese over a large spread of
decoys in a variety of habitats. The spreads typically consist of a mixture
of windsocks, silhouettes, shells, and flying decoys. Rice fields, plowed
ground, and rye grass make up the bulk of the land in which we
hunt.
It is common to harvest Snow, Blues,
Ross, White-Fronted and Canadian all in the course of one hunt.
Pintails, Mottled Ducks, Shovelers, and Teal also offer our hunters
opportunities while hunting in the large goose spreads. Goose hunts begin
with the placement of the spread which require the help of you and
your party. All fields are scouted the day before to ensure the best
location. After placing the spread, your guide will position the shooters
in the best location to intercept the incoming birds.
